AJ is a retired Police Captain with more than 36 years of combined law enforcement and military service, including 30 years with the DeKalb County Police Department and six years as a Military Police K-9 Handler in the United States Army supporting NATO security operations in Germany. Throughout his career, he led complex criminal investigations, tactical operations, and public safety initiatives while serving in command-level leadership roles across one of Georgia's largest police departments.

AJ has extensive experience leading human trafficking investigations and multi-agency enforcement operations targeting organized criminal enterprises. As Commander of the Special Investigation Section, he directed human trafficking investigations while coordinating operations alongside HIDTA and DEA partners. His expertise also spans special victims investigations, undercover narcotics, SWAT and K-9 operations, patrol command, and law enforcement training. As Commander of the Training Division, SWAT and K-9 units, and patrol operations, AJ led specialized teams, served in Incident Command roles during major critical incidents, and trained and mentored hundreds of law enforcement officers as a certified Georgia P.O.S.T. General Instructor with more than 6,000 hours of advanced training.

Following his law enforcement career, AJ served as Security Director, Procurement Director, and Logistics Director for a national nonprofit organization and founded a Georgia-based executive protection company. He has provided executive protection during the 1996 Olympic Games, State Department operations for the Dalai Lama, presidential visits, and security details for film industry personnel, bringing extensive experience in organizational security, executive protection, and operational planning.

In recognition of his distinguished service, AJ has received numerous commendations for leadership and operational excellence, including being named Officer of the Year and Supervisor of the Year. Today, he continues to support public safety through his expertise in human trafficking investigations, criminal investigations, tactical operations, executive protection, and organizational security as a member of the GUARD Against Trafficking team.
